DO I NEED A REFERRAL FROM MY GENERAL PRACTITIONER OR OTHER SPECIALIST?

DO I NEED A REFERRAL FROM MY GENERAL PRACTITIONER OR OTHER SPECIALIST?

Every client has a right to see a specialist without referral; however, we do appreciate if you come with referral from your GP.  If you have a referral (FT poukaz) from another specialist to see one of our physiotherapist, please note that we unfortunately have a limited capacity and at times, we cannot process such referrals. Please inquire at our reception whether we are able to accommodate this request.

WHAT DO I NEED TODO AT MY FIRST VISIT?

When you come to our center, please come to our reception desk. At ORP locations Pod Marjankou, Brevnov and at Statenice please take a seat at our waiting room and kindly wait for the nurse to call you.

At your first visit, you will be given a registration questionnaire. Alternatively, you can download the registration questionnaire and fill it in at home. It is available on our website. Please also sign the Non - infection status client declaration. Bring both, together with your insurance card to your first visit.

Your first visit at ORP Center usually begins by seeing one of our specialists. He or she will recommend the treatment and its planning. Treatment plan usually includes the physiotherapy as well as physical therapy. You will plan appointments for all in discussion with one of our coordinators at our reception. We will try to accommodate your requests.

Should the specialist recommend the treatment that is not covered by client’s health insurance, then payment must be made in full, prior to treatment. Client may also choose to pay for the first treatment only. This option is available to all clients. However, please note that if you prefer this option, it may disrupt the continuity of the planned treatment. If the client is happy and wishes to continue then all remaining therapies can be planned according to client’s availability.

For electrotherapy treatment, you do not need to see our reception. You can enter the physical therapy room and see the physiotherapist at the desk inside.

WHAT IS NEEDED WHEN SEEING THE PHYSIOTHERAPIST?

Clients do not need to bring anything specific. If your physiotherapist informed you that your next session would take place in the gym, please bring with you a towel and comfortable clothing and shoes.
